Regularly updating your iPhone PIN helps keep your device and personal data secure. It's a simple process that only takes a minute and adds an important layer of protection.
How to Reset Your iPhone PIN Code
- Open Settings
- Tap Face ID & Passcode
- Enter your current passcode
- Tap Change Passcode
- Enter your current passcode again
- Enter your new passcode
- Confirm your new passcode
- If you are using a PIN that is easily guessed, such as 00000 or 123456, a message will appear asking you to either choose a more secure passcode or to confirm your selection.
Your iPhone PIN has been successfully updated!
*Please note: If you are wanting to remove the PIN code from your phone altogether, you will need to know your Apple ID email and password to confirm.
