If you see the message “Error occurred when checking blocked users” in Gmail, the issue is usually caused by a temporary app glitch or corrupted cached data. Reinstalling the app typically resolves the problem, because removing the Gmail app clears any temporary files or corrupted data that may be causing the error.
Follow these steps:
- Delete the Gmail app
- Reinstall the Gmail app
Open the App Store (on iPhone or iPad) or Google Play Store (on Android), download Gmail again, and sign back into your account. After reinstalling, try checking your blocked users list again. In most cases, the error will be resolved once the fresh version of the app is installed!
