How to turn off Tap-to-Click on a computer or laptop

The Tap-to-Click feature can cause users to accidentally click things just by tapping their trackpad. Here's how to turn it off.

Turn off Tap-to-Click on a Windows computer

1. Click the Windows logo in the bottom left corner
2. Open Settings
3. Select Bluetooth & Devices
4. Click Touchpad
5. Toggle off the "Tap with a single finger to single-click” setting

Turn off Tap-to-Click on a Mac computer

1. Click the Apple logo in the top left corner
2. Open System Settings
3. Select Trackpad
4. Toggle off the “Tap to click” setting

Your Tap-to-Click is now turned off!
