Before selling or trading in your iPhone, completing these steps protects your personal data and ensures a smooth transfer to its new owner.

How to Prepare Your iPhone for Sale or Trade-In

1. Charge your iPhone
2. Remove it from iCloud by going to Settings > your Name at the top > scroll to the bottom > tap your iPhone > Remove from Account
3. Open the Find My app > Devices > select your iPhone > Remove This Device
4. If your device is functioning, go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Erase All Content and Settings

Your iPhone is now ready for sale or trade-in!
