Guide: How to check if your iPhone's security has been compromised

If you’re worried someone may have access to your iPhone or Apple account, there’s a quick way to check directly from your settings. Apple makes it easy to see every device currently signed into your account so you can spot anything suspicious.

How to Check if your iPhone's Security has been Compromised

  1. Open the Settings app
  2. Tap your name at the very top of the screen
  3. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and review Signed-In Devices

You’ll see a list of all devices connected to your Apple ID. Carefully check each device listed. Make sure you recognize every device.

Look for:
- Devices you don’t own
- Old devices you no longer use
- Devices in unfamiliar locations

If you see a device you don’t recognize:

  1. Tap on the device name
  2. Select Remove from Account

Next, immediately change your Apple ID password. This is critical to ensure no one unauthorized can regain access to your Apple account.

Checking your Apple ID device list regularly is one of the easiest ways to make sure your iPhone stays secure. If anything looks off, act quickly to remove access and update your password to protect your personal information.
