Signing into AOL Mail from a desktop browser gives you full access to your email, contacts, and settings without needing a separate mail app installed.
How To Sign Into AOL On A Desktop Browser
Google Chrome
- Open Google Chrome.
- Click the address bar at the top of the window and type www.aol.com, then press Enter.
- Click Sign In in the top-right corner of the page.
- Enter your AOL username or email address and click Next.
- Enter your password and click Next.
- If prompted, complete the verification step sent to your phone or recovery email.
- Click Mail in the top-right corner to open your inbox.
You are signed into AOL Mail!
Safari
- Open Safari.
- Click the address bar at the top of the window and type www.aol.com, then press Return.
- Click Sign In in the top-right corner of the page.
- Enter your AOL username or email address and click Next.
- Enter your password and click Next.
- If prompted, complete the verification step sent to your phone or recovery email.
- Click Mail in the top-right corner to open your inbox.
You are signed into AOL Mail!
Notes:
If you have two-step verification turned on, you will need access to your phone or recovery email to finish signing in.
AOL usernames do not require the @aol.com ending, but entering the full address also works.
If your password is not accepted and you use an older mail app, you may need to generate an app password from your AOL account security settings.
Checking Stay signed in on the sign-in page keeps you logged in on that browser until you sign out manually.
Clearing your browser cookies or using a private window will sign you out and require you to log in again.
