Keeping a username and password in your iPhone or iPad's password app ensures your login is ready to use whenever you need it. To update or change a saved password in the password app, follow the steps below.
How to autofill a password?
First, enable Autofill.
- Go to Settings
- Select Passwords
- Select Autofill Passwords and turn on Autofill Passwords.
- Set your Password App as the default
Then, open the app or website you want to login to.
- Go to the login page where you need your credentials.
- Tap the username or password field. Your device will suggest saved credentials from your Password App.
- Select the correct account from the suggestions.
- You may need to enter your passcode or complete Face ID. After this security step, the password will automatically fill the feilds.
- Click Login
Your credentials will be entered and used without typing them in!
